Hello! My name is Shalev and I love designing and building applications that solve real-world problems, which can be seen in my projects and experience.

I work with technologies such as TypeScript, React, React Native, Node.js, and MongoDB, and I've built projects that combine both creativity and functionality. One example is "Ascendos," an AI-powered personal growth platform built with the OpenAI API. Developed with React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Radix UI on the frontend and Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Mongoose, JWT on the backend. This project won 1st place at the IITC College Bootcamp Hackathon for innovation, design, and functionality. Another project is my Final Project for the Bootcamp, Reddit Clone, where I led the Front-End development of a full-stack social platform replicating Reddit's core features, building a modular SPA with React, TypeScript, and Vite.

Currently, I work as a Mobile Developer (Full-Stack) at Dojo, where I develop on their production mobile application. I work primarily on the Front-End with React Native (Expo), TypeScript, Redux, and React Query, and I own and deliver product features end-to-end including the Calendar (Google Calendar API integration), onboarding flows, and post-related screens. I also collaborate on Node.js-based backend services and REST APIs. I lead a team of 5 developers, overseeing feature planning, code reviews, task distribution, and delivery timelines.

Before becoming a developer, I served as a Combat Platoon Leader in the IDF Combat Engineering Corps. In that role I led operational missions and managed a platoon under high-pressure conditions. I completed Officers' Training and developed strong leadership, operational planning, and team management skills. These experiences gave me strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and resilience-qualities that support the way I approach development today.
